Okay, so not metal related, but since metalheads typically enjoy horror movies it seemed right to post this. I figured since its October I'd strive to just watch horror movies throughout this month, which is something I've never done before, but through netflixs and my own small collection of DVDs it should be a breeze. Some of these are movies I've seen before, but haven't watched in ages or are just ones I've missed out on so far. In any case, it should be fun watching all of them. I actually kicked the month off awkwardly by watching, 'Rear Window,' but made up for it by watching the 'Friday the 13th' remake/reboot/redo/whatever the fuck last night, which was pretty bad. Mostly, because I'm not exactly sure how one of the characters takes a hatchet to the head in the beginning of the film, but then appears later on within Jason's dungeon, apparently no less than six months later too and is completely unscathed. Kind of bad story writing, if you ask me, but anyway here's what I've got planned for the rest of the month (and beyond):
|
My kind of crowd |
Day of the Dead | Tenebre | City of the Living Dead | Hellraiser | Children of the Corn | Satan's School for Girls | Suspiria | Rabies | My Bloody Valentine | Night of the Living Dead | A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 | Scream | Friday the 13th: Part 3| Psycho | Re-Animator | Dawn of the Dead | Dead Snow | Evil Dead Trap | The People Under the Stairs | Satan's Blood | Attack Girls' Swim Team vs. the Undead | The Thing | The Fly | Basket Case | Phenomena | Cat's Eyes | Frankenhooker |
And if I need a laugh there's always the incredibly awesome, Biozombie. Maybe I should of added more smut to my playlist though. Who knows.
That outta do it. Of course during my search for movies on netflix's I also added about thirty other movies, so, I guess I'll probably spend the rest of the year watching horror movies. That works.
I'm not that much into horror movies myself, though I enjoy the occult-related ones and some oldies. But you've certainly have a full schedule set up for yourself.
ReplyDeleteI guess movies wouldn't be too out of place, there were features (most commonly on horror movies, unsurprisingly) on many 'zines already back whenever.
In an older incarnation of Lunar Hypnosis I used to review movies in general, but when I re-started over here at blogspot I never thought of continuing the idea for some reason.
