I've been tossing this idea around in my head for a few months now and since I'm all about diversity I figured it be best to follow through with it. From here on you can expect some additional (occasional) features here at Lunar Hypnosis. The reason for this is simply because LH is my playground, my voice you could say, and I see no reason to exclude anything from my life that I adore.
Firstly, I appreciate a number of blogs & 'zines around the internet and I'd definitely like to give these writers more exposure. This idea isn't completely new to LH however, as there was some coverage of internet 'zines several years ago. I'll definitely be covering paper 'zines when I come across them too. I appreciate anyone that spends the time writing and being creativity, pretty much no matter the subject matter. The drive and spirit to continue on is admirable, even if a lot of it falls on blind eyes and goes completely ignored. Its art and that I dig.
Secondly, you can expect some movie reviews. Its no secret that movies have been reviewed in 'zines since the 80's and since they are a HUGE part of my life it really only makes sense to cover them here. Again, this is not really new ground for LH, as the old site had a huge archive of movie reviews, though when I originally re-started here at blogspot I didn't continue with it. That will be changing soon. I'm a pretty big fan of horror films, but you can expect pretty much anything when it comes to my tastes.
Additionally, I'll probably be reviewing more books in the near future too, though probably still focusing around heavy metal, mostly.
Of course, metal will ALWAYS be the main focus of Lunar Hypnosis. The reviews, interviews, live coverage and other random bits I toss up are not going anywhere.

In other news, a physical ad was recently created. Essentially its a split ad with the excellent Canadian label, Hypnotic Dirge Records (one side LH, HDR the other). The ads are high quality too, cardstock, glossy and rather eye catching if I do say so myself. I was quite pleased to see that the artwork I created looked so immense in physical form. Its my plan to pass these out at gigs, bars and any other social metal event. Some ads have already been distributed at a local record store a friend works at too. So, salutes to Ryan at The Exclusive Company's Metalhaus for being cool and having them available.
Additionally I have to send a major salute to Nick, the man behind, Hypnotic Dirge Records for agreeing to do the split, as well as Elan from FIN, Old Forgotten Lands, Wanderlust (and like ten other bands) for getting the ads printed up. You guys rule!
