Yes, things have been slow here at Lunar Hypnosis in the past two months or so. The reasoning behind this is I've been exploring other avenues of creativity, which have thus far brought more satisfaction than simple review writing. Most notably, I plan to launch my own design/photo service, which I call, Khöldstare Design. Generally focusing on darker themed creations its my hope that my art and ability to take photos will appeal to bands within the black, death, doom and Gothic genres as well as perhaps others, such as, neo folk, dark ambient and noise - though I'm open to helping any band with their creativity needs. In any case, I've spent these past few months creating a lot of art as well as embarking on many photo journeys both with bands and by myself.
Is this the end of Lunar Hypnosis? No, certainly not at all. The 'zine will however remain in a slow state from here until... well, possibly from here on. I will still occasionally review purchased albums that I feel desire a little more attention as well if some promos come my way they will be featured, as always. So, I apologize if the lack of updates bothers anyone that may have visited this site on a regular basis, but it should be understood that I've been doing Lunar Hypnosis in various forms on and off since May of 2001. I think I deserve a break and can safely place the 'zine on the back burner, rather than making it my priority.
I will (very soon) launch Khöldstare Design in the coming weeks and of course I'll post a link to the site here when its ready. If anything catches your eye do let me know as I'd like to work with as many parties as possible to build my portfolio of work as well as just getting the name out there.
