Its been ages (well a few months) since I did a good 'ol fashioned metal haul. Lousy paychecks at work and some random misfortunes here and there have dictated my life far away from the ability to carelessly spend money. On the other hand, having recently done some favors for a few friends, as well as, getting a nice fat tax return has allowed me the freedom to at least momentarily fuck about with my dough.
The two LPs are of Behemoth and Obliteration. The Behemoth is a re-issue of their debut album, Sventevith (Storming Near the Baltic), which is also wisely re-mastered since the original sounded like dick, while Obliteration is an old school death metal band from Norway. Their album, Black Death Horizon, is simply a must!
The CDs are as follow; Cultes Des Ghoules, Blaze of Perdition, Sahg, Hollowhecatomb, Manii, The Cold Beyond and Nyksta. All black metal bands, and all fucking rad, save for, Sahg, who are progressing and trying something new these days as they've really moved beyond their earlier stoner/doom style. As you can imagine, reviews shall follow for all of these soon enough.
My only blunder seems to have been somehow forgetting to visit the liquor store for a tasty dark stout. Failure.
